Not the same as an Aquatemp Uni-Nut Retainer - thes are used on Spaquip Pulsar, Intuitive, Impulse series heater element cones as a retainer for the heater union nut. The red and black rings suit 2 different styles of heater union nut. Red - old 50mm, Black - 50mm. These retainers are not split. They are not used with 40mm heater tee's
