2" / 50mm sockets, clear body

Spring loaded flap with magnetic hold
Spring is 0.5lb pressure for minimal head loss 
Magnet holds the valve closed to 2lb pressure - once opened the 0.5lb spring offers greatly reduced friction loss.

The benefit of using this valve is the advantage of the positively magnetically held seal at 2lb of pressure. This ensures maximum seal, but once broken and the magnetic attraction is broken, it functions with the very low 0.5lb spring providing full flow through the design of the valve body and therefore minimal head loss/increased pump flow rate/performance.

At 150 LPM the head loss is only 0.32m Head 
At 302 LPM the head loss is only 0.43m Head 
At 454 LPM the head loss is only 0.51m Head 
At 530 LPM the head loss is only 0.66m Head 

This valve has also been used in some installations utilising 2 speed pumps with bypass heater or ozone plumbing. The 2lb magnet has held the valve closed on low speed, but opens on high speed with minimal restriction to ensure heater or ozone function on low and high speed, as well as minimal performance loss for spa jets. This suitability of use for this function will depend on individual system set ups.
